What to expect?
A individual coaching session is a one-on-one coaching meeting between a coach and a yourself. The purpose of the meeting is to help your move closer to your goals. As a coach I will ask questions, challenge assumptions, and provide support and accountability.
A coaching session is not therapy. The focus is on the present and future, not the past. You will co-create a plan to help you achieve your goals.
In addition to a goal, we will brainstorm action steps to assist in attaining those goals. For example, if your goal is to reduce your use to a social level we would review your comfort parameters (ex. 3 drinks for the evening), develop a schedule and plan for those moments and create a safety plan for if you find yourself outside your set boundaries.
Or, maybe you need to gain additional education in a specific area. There is alot of conflicting information regarding drugs and addiction. You may have read something or watched a video that you would like to discuss. New educational material and new language regarding addictions is a constant throughout the process.
